ABOUT SAM OHUABUNWA FOUNDATION FOR ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT (SOFEE)
Sam Ohuabunwa Foundation for Economic Empowerment (SOFEE) started operations in 1998 running capacity building programmes for the SME sub-sector, including training, workshops, counselling and mentorship for SME business operators who have benefited tremendously under the SOFEE Cost Effective SME Business Empowerment Programme.The foundation has also initiated Student and Youth Empowerment Programmes which were on course with Students and the Youths being the direct beneficiaries of the respective initiatives. SOFEE places great premium on these two programme segments as much work needs to be done to harness the huge economic potentials which are derivable from their gifting, creativity and energies when put in proper use.

MEMBERSHIP
Full Membership of the foundation is open to individuals including entrepreneurs, businessmen and persons aspiring to be entrepreneurs, corporate organizations, students who are offered Associate Membership. Each membership status attracts an annual fee with benefits attached depending on the category of membership subscribed. There are three main categories of membership including the following:
MEET THE FOUNDER
Mazi Samuel Iheanyichukwu Ohuabunwa was born on the 16th of August, 1950; married to Lady Stella Omude Ohuabunwa, blessed with children and grand-children, has been honoured severallyby his community, profession and industry, but significantly he has been honoured thrice by thenation – Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), in 2001, and Officer of the order of the Federal Republic (OFR), in 2011 and National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award in 2018. MaziSamuel Iheanyichukwu Ohuabunwa is a proven leader, Lay Minister, social worker, entrepreneur, Nation Builder, columnist in national dailies and author all rolled into one and he credits all hissuccesses to the grace of God.
Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa read Pharmacy at the University of Ife (now OAU) graduating in 1976. Hedid Postgraduate training in Business and Organizational Management at the Columbia University, N.Y, USA and the Lagos Business School, Lagos. He is a recipient of an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration from Gregory University, Uturu. He joined Pfizer Products Plc. in 1978 as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and rose to become the Chairman/CEO in 1993.
