In my travels, work and ministry, I have been appalled by the high level of poverty and lack amongst God fearing people. And this is in spite of God’s wish captured in 3 John 2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”.

My years of enquiry revealed that amongst many reasons the princes are walking on foot while the servants are riding on horses is lack of knowledge, giving credence to Prophet Hosea that “My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge”. I also found out that the knowledge required to achieve economic empowerment are on two tracks: knowledge of the operations of the Kingdom of God and knowledge of the principles of tent making or entrepreneurship. Much Christian Teaching focuses a lot on the former with scant regards for the latter. It is to bring a proper mix and balance of both tracks of knowledge that the SAM OHUABUNWA FOUNDATION FOR ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT (SOFEE)  is built. The Foundation is thus built on knowledge: acquire entrepreneurial, management and business knowledge and skills and exploit them in line with God’s will.

A major vehicle for achieving this purpose is through publication of articles, journals and books. The other is through lectures, seminars and workshops. These activities aim to show why people are poor and teach proven and spiritually sound ways to achieve their dreams and walk away from poverty through economic empowerment. You can also begin to harvest the knowledge and wisdom right away by partnering with us and/or participating in any of our training and capacity building programmes.

And so, the foundation warmly welcomes all those seeking knowledge to overcome poverty and achieve their destiny of becoming channels of blessings to the Church and to the nations and all those who want to achieve a higher level of economic empowerment and financial independence than they currently enjoy. There is also ample space in the foundation for those who are economically empowered, but out of love will like to assist others to achieve similar status, so that the poverty cycle can be broken and the world becomes a safer and happier place for us all, as intended by the maker.

Welcome and may His grace be sufficient for us all. AMEN!

Yours truly,
